About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team at Amazon Data Services, Inc. As a Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of our data center infrastructure. This includes electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the maintenance and troubleshooting of critical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data center infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot critical equipment, including generators, UPS systems, and cooling systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of data center facilities
  • Develop and implement standard practices for data center operations and maintenance
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  • Assist in the build-out of new data center facilities and projects to increase efficiency
  • Work outside of normal business hours for routine maintenance and emergency response
Requirements
  • Technical training or degree in a relevant field (e.g. electrical, mechanical)
  • 3+ years of experience in data center operations or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as data center infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
