Job Summary

The Director of Education and Prevention will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational and prevention programs across multiple contracts. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with community partners, stakeholders, and staff to ensure program effectiveness and compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative leadership and supervision to the department
  • Function as a liaison to the Deputy Administrator and Senior Vice President and external groups and agencies in promoting inter-organizational collaboration
  • Assist in grant planning and initiation of potential funding opportunities
  • Participate in design and implementation of program evaluation and outcome studies
  • Oversee implementation of multiple contracts simultaneously
  • Arrange for staff development, education, and training activities
  • Implement Quality Assurance and Utilization Review systems that monitor the effectiveness of the program services
  • Assist in the development of program fiscal and budgetary systems and implementation
  • Monitor compliance with all required standards, regulations, state, and federal guidelines
  • Develop, implement, and monitor procedures to meet agency policies and contract management
  • Plan and manage event logistics for annual events
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners to facilitate successful collaborations
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience with knowledge of program performance indicators
  • Two (2) Years of case management services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a successful background check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from LEIE, MSIL, and EPLS
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance
  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test
Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a professional office setting. Travel to community-based providers is required. Some outdoor activities may be required.

A minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but significantly more hours will be required from time to time. Completion of job duties may require working before and after normal working hours. Regular attendance is required. Being able to work as many hours as is necessary to complete job tasks is a required and essential duty of this position.
