We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Texas Health HEB. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery will be responsible for delivering care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. This includes assessing the patient, planning the care of the patient, intervening as appropriate, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, and incorporating age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care.
Responsibilities:- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS – within 90 days of hire
- NRP – within 90 days of hire
- NRPA - within 90 days of hire
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- 1 year of RN experience in L&D strongly preferred
