Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner to join our team at HeartPlace PLLC - US Heart and Vascular. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner will work under the direction of physicians to evaluate and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions. This includes diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses, as well as providing health promotions, disease prevention, patient and family teaching, and counseling.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose and manage cardiovascular conditions, including acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses.
- Provide health promotions, disease prevention, patient and family teaching, and counseling.
- Order and conduct diagnostic and laboratory tests, as well as prescribe medications and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Support ancillary staff, including sonographers, nurses, and medical assistants.
- Respond to patient calls and provide timely and effective communication.
- Participate in quality assurance review and maintain accurate, legible, and confidential records.
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program at the master's level.
- Current authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
- Current certification from a nationally recognized organization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current authorization for prescriptive authority from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas and Board of Medical Examiners for the State of Texas.
- Current ACLS certifications.
- Fluently speak, read, and write English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of OSHA requirements in a clinical setting.
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
