  • Department Operations
    • Manage the daily activities of the Meat Market Seafood department, including receiving, stocking, and merchandising products.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, promoting a positive shopping experience.
  • Sales and Merchandising

  • Team Management

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school graduate or equivalent qualification preferred.
    • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in a meat market or seafood department.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Effective communication, customer service, and sales abilities.
    • Interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team.
    • Willingness to learn various tasks, including forklift and power jack training, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Lift up to 20 lbs. regularly, including overhead lifting, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Push/pull up to 40 lbs. regularly.
    • Meet volume/activity standards.
    • Stand or walk 100% of the time.
    • Perform frequent reaching, grasping, lifting, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
    • Handle various substances like cleaning materials, packaging, and food products.
    • Work in extreme temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
    • Use computers, calculators, and communication systems.

Preferred Requirements

  • Support the management of all Center Store operations as directed by the Center Store Manager.
  • Lead Center store associates effectively.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while providing solutions that exceed customers' expectations.
  • Implement effective merchandising strategies to boost sales.
  • Create and manage work schedules to meet production, service standards, and associates' needs.
  • Conduct associate performance assessments as required.
  • Adhere to all Center Store Standard Practices Manual.
  • Maintain department conditions to the highest standards.
  • Utilize company tools for financial analysis, scheduling, and ordering.
  • Handle product processing, storage, and merchandising following guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate production, sales, and inventory records.
  • Assist in communicating department policies to associates.
  • Perform diverse department tasks to meet service guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of store information.
  • Support special projects as needed.
  • Meet physical requirements of the position.
