Job Overview

Skana Aluminum is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our evening 2-2-3 Shift operations.


KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • At least 8 years of experience in maintenance or progressive supervisory roles in plant engineering.
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree or Journeyman Status in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic technologies.
  • Knowledge of foundry operations or large machinery is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Commitment to safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to foster teamwork, resolve conflicts, and enhance problem-solving capabilities within the team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Lead, supervise, and train the maintenance team, assigning tasks and managing resources effectively.
  • Oversee all preventive maintenance database activities, including issuing work orders and tracking their progress.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and developing contingency strategies as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate preventive maintenance plans for all equipment.
  • Document work order history and parts usage to generate reports on operational expenses.
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel, aiding in troubleshooting, repairs, and facility maintenance projects.
  • Collaborate with the EHS Coordinator to enhance safety programs and training within the maintenance division.
  • Facilitate skill development opportunities for team members.
  • Maintain a service-oriented approach when interacting with all staff.
  • Adhere to the company’s quality management system standards.
  • Enforce compliance with all organizational policies.
  • Support the Company Apprenticeship Program.
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as assigned.
