Job Overview
The Patient Advocate I plays a vital role in ensuring patient satisfaction by providing clear and concise information about their billing and insurance options. This role involves handling inbound and outbound calls, analyzing EOB documents, and collaborating with other departments to resolve patient inquiries promptly.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle inbound and outbound calls to meet patient needs.
- Analyze EOB documents to resolve billing issues and provide clear explanations to patients.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address patient inquiries, communicate effectively with other departments.
- Review charity case award letters, deliver accurate self-pay price quotes and financial estimates to patients.
- Skillfully execute special projects, provide training on specific tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in customer service, preferably in healthcare or finance.
- Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
