Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement plans and protocols for monitoring and managing botanical resources
  • Assist with developing project goals and objectives and prioritize tasks to achieve performance goals
  • Manage botanical program data using GIS and other data management and statistical software
  • Perform field work up to 50% of the time

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in botany, biology, environmental science, natural resource management, or related plant science
  • Experience with rare plant/vegetation monitoring and project management
  • Proficient with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data management software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in botany, biology, environmental science, natural resource management, or related field
  • Two years of experience in program/project management
  • Experience supervising/leading teams and working with threatened and endangered plants in Hawaii
