About the Role

As an Account Executive at Top Hat, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the higher education market. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team that is revolutionizing the way students learn and interact with educational content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities in assigned accounts
  • Represent and sell the full suite of Top Hat products and services, including digital textbook content and SaaS platform, to professors and department leaders
  • Effectively position and message Top Hat's value proposition, utilizing a mix of inside and outside sales techniques
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Development Representatives, Customer Success Managers, and internal product and marketing partners to ensure a seamless customer experience and maximize revenue growth
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume sales role, with a proven track record of success
  • Experience selling to professors in person on campus is highly preferred
  • Ability to travel 40-50% of the time to campuses for in-person sales, with a valid Driver's License
  • Strong sales skills, including the ability to drive and close large/complex deals, prospect effectively, and run the full sales cycle
  • Ambitious and driven individual with a strong desire for success
  • Experience working in a metrics-driven environment and ability to interpret and apply feedback/coaching quickly
