About this Role

In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to newborns in the NICU, assessing their health status, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal growth and development for each patient. Additionally, you will educate parents on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, and neonatal health issues to support a smooth transition to home care.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing specialized nursing care to newborns in the NICU or equivalent setting.
  • Assessing neonates' health status, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed.
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Performing neonatal assessments, including developmental screenings and feeding evaluations, to ensure optimal growth and development.
  • Educating parents on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, and neonatal health issues.
