AEG is currently seeking a Facilities Operations Associate - Part Time to assist with the preparation and execution of events at our venues, as well as maintenance and project-related tasks. This role will support the full-time staff in ensuring that the venue is fully operational and event-ready. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be flexible with their schedule, including weekends and irregular hours, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support full-time staff with event setups for various activities, including sports games, concerts, and other gatherings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, concourse arrangements, locker room configurations, court setup & maintenance, seating arrangements, stage constructions, curtain placements, and more.
- Manage and modify venue setups between events, including moving furniture and reorganizing spaces from previous activities.
- Assist the head rigger with tasks related to event setups, such as curtain installations and stage arrangements.
- Oversee contracted labor staff, assigning tasks related to event preparations and providing training in proper procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Event Services and Housekeeping, to ensure successful event execution.
- Review setups and checklists to confirm completion before the venue opens to the public for events.
- Help maintain an organized inventory of equipment and ensure that venue supplies are stored in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, overnight shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with full-time and part-time colleagues.
- Ability to follow directions and take initiative to work efficiently.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
- Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate stairs, and perform various physical tasks.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including mobility around the facility, lifting (minimum of 50-75lbs), carrying, moving, climbing, and working in moderate to loud environments.
- Maintain a high level of attention to safety to prevent injuries.
- Conduct oneself professionally and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- This position requires 100% onsite work; remote work is not an option.
