We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.
- Prepare and position patients accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
- Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Cardiographic Tech, Nuclear Medical Tech, Radiologic Technologist, Medical Sonographer, or Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
