About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a critical care and diagnostic specialist, you will be responsible for performing a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics, assessing patients, and interpreting results accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment
  • Perform routine patient assessment and recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction
  • Deliver therapy and reassess patients in a timely manner, maintaining proper and accurate documentation
  • Communicate regularly with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Acute Care Hospital experience preferred
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Current certification as Basic Life Support (BLS) provider
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
