Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and evaluating respiratory insufficiencies.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
  • Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner certification from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program
  • Respiratory Therapist RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent critical care and ventilator experience
  • 2+ years of experience
