Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide medical care for veterans in the Greater Los Angeles area. As a Vocational Nurse, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician to deliver high-quality patient care.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $57,187 - $90,828 per year. The job involves providing nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of healthcare professionals who share your commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients with consideration to psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician to maintain acceptable standards within the healthcare setting
  • Prepare patients for exams, obtain vital signs, and record required information
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements

  • A valid LVN/LPN license in the state of California
  • At least one year of experience as an LPN or LVN, preferably in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
