Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist II

This is a critical role within TrueCommerce, providing general computer hardware and software support to all functional departments across the company.

Job Summary:

The Desktop Support Specialist II is responsible for implementing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting computer technology and equipment. This includes responding to calls and diagnosing equipment and configuration issues with various applications at the user's desk or remotely via remote desktop tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line response to TrueCommerce personnel and on-site partners requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems with desktop/laptop hardware and software, printers, and peripheral equipment remotely as well as desk-side.
  • Escalate more involved problems to the appropriate Network and Application Support Teams.
  • Track issues to resolution and update internal knowledge base.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Configure PCs and laptops for deployment to users at headquarters, remote office locations, and home office employees. Perform recovery tasks for end-user systems.
  • Perform moves, adds, and changes, including phones and computer system set-ups.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new hardware, software, and related peripherals.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting end-users and supporting higher-level IT team members.
  • Capable of effectively supporting remote users via voice, email, chat, etc.
  • Experience with Windows 10.
  • Experience with Mac OS X/Macs on Windows domain.
  • Windows Server Experience.
  • Familiarity with supporting VOIP phone systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
