Job Summary:
This is a part-time position that will assist with the Middle College Program at San Bernardino Valley College. The successful candidate will work directly with students to provide academic support services, participate in staff meetings, and assist with program activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support services to students, including tutoring and assistance with forms and workshops.
- Manage a caseload of students and maintain records and reports.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and community members.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and events.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of program activities.
Requirements:
- Have completed 30 college semester units or more.
- Ability and desire to work with and mentor a diverse group of high school students.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and typing skills.
- Experience working with middle school, high school, and young adult age students.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functions.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position, 15 hours a week, with a minimum of two days a week between 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
