Role Summary:
The Technical Training Coordinator is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive training programs tailored for plant operations. This role ensures that all team members receive consistent training aligned with established standards and continuous improvement methodologies. The Coordinator will implement a structured training process and monitor the onboarding and retention of staff throughout the facility. Collaboration with operational teams is essential as this position plays a pivotal role in the Continuous Improvement initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage standardized training materials for plant operations.
- Train and certify operational trainers using a structured training methodology.
- Create and maintain training and cross-training matrices.
- Assist in the development and revision of Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), Job Breakdowns (JB), and Single Point Lessons (SPLs) to facilitate ongoing training packet creation.
- Oversee the Technical Training Audit Program to ensure adherence to training standards.
- Maintain a database for training packets to ensure version control.
- Support the creation and upkeep of onboarding resources for new employees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical training development.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Training Within Industry (TWI) standards is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong self-management and prioritization abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Education and Certification:
- Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel to other company locations may be necessary.
