Homecare Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary
Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Homecare Reimbursement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for coordinating patient accounts from prior authorization to bill payment or referral to collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all billing for home health agencies, including Medicaid and self-pay
- Compute contractual adjustments and maintain related files and records
- Maintain current knowledge of changes in billing requirements and regulations
- Assist clients in resolving billing problems
- Generate all billing, cash receipts, write-offs, and related reports for monthly accounting review
Requirements
- Reviews insurance/primary payor information for completeness
- Collects and documents ongoing payer source information
- Verifies prior authorization requirements from public and private insurers
- Obtains initial and ongoing prior authorizations for all service lines according to payor specific requirements
