We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Officer to join our Equipment Finance team at Midland States Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a profitable book of business, developing and managing vendor programs, and building strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and dealers.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Actively build new business and create long-term partnerships with clients to offer them financing solutions that meet their needs and drive repeat business.
- Vendor Management: Prospect and close vendor lease programs on a national basis, ensuring strong relationships and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Sales Performance: Meet and exceed sales quotas, generating revenue and driving business growth for the company.
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through phone, networking, and face-to-face interactions.
- Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service, including accurate completion of customer correspondence and quotation requests.
- Travel and Collaboration: Occasionally travel for training and team meetings, and be willing to work in a Midland office to support internal and external customers.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience within the equipment finance industry, with a proven track record of relationship building and sales success.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of business calculation tools, excellent relationship management and sales skills, and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
- Business Insight: Ability to understand the equipment finance industry and identify opportunities for growth.
- Cultivates Innovation: Willingness to think creatively and develop new business strategies.
- Drives Results: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas and drive business growth.
- Makes Sound Decisions: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions that drive business success.
