Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all laboratory functions, including waste management, gas exchange processes, and maintenance of specialized rooms.

  • Provide expertise in facilities management and act as the primary contact for vendors.
  • Support the development and management of facilities management teams to uphold service standards.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of facilities-related projects.
  • Serve as the Safety Officer for managed facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee security measures and participate in out-of-hours response arrangements.
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Recognized qualifications in laboratory safety and compliance.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in laboratory management and procurement.
  • Experience with quality management systems and GxP regulations is preferred.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and projects.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to laboratory environments.
