About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Systems Manager to join our team at Buckman. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our quality systems in North America meet global standards and drive world-class product consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality-related projects to ensure continuous improvement of systems, processes, and products.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including site Quality personnel and customers.
  • Work independently to ensure effective implementation and management of Buckman's quality program.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and utilize quality metrics to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify areas of deficiency and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure quality standards are consistently applied and escalate issues to Senior Management as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects to successful outcomes in terms of deliverables, timing, and cost.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts with other functions and work within a cross-functional team environment.

Requirements

  • 4-year technical degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5-7 years of practical Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years of management experience with a proven track record of managing groups of individual contributors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plant.
  • Excellent knowledge of ISO requirements and how to effectively maintain a compliant quality management system.
  • Ability to develop new business processes and diagnose/improve existing processes.
  • Self-starter with systematic decision making, critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to coordinate wide variety of resources across multiple functions to meet quality goals/objectives.
  • Excellent and demonstrated Microsoft Suite computer skills.
  • Successful quality systems and quality assurance experience from a manufacturing organization.
  • Demonstrated high level of competency in TQM, Six Sigma, DOEs, and Lean thinking.
  • Experience with detailed project management software.
  • ISO Auditor experience.
  • Experience leading an organization through a quality system implementation to a relevant standard.
