About the Role

The Quality Assurance I is a key member of the FedEx Supply Chain team, responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance function in daily operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance and driving quality-related metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in collecting data, reporting, monitoring, and auditing to ensure compliance and drive quality-related metrics.
  • Quality Metrics: Ensure quality metrics are adequately captured, analyzed, and communicated to management for improvement activities.
  • Product Specification Issues: Assist in investigating and resolving product specification-related problems.
  • Internal Audits: Participate in internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Damage and Transport Control: Ensure adequate controls are maintained regarding damage and safe transport of product within the warehouse.
  • Quality Tracking and Trending: Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with tracking and trending KPIs, quality metrics, etc., to determine if corrective actions need to be implemented.
  • Performance and Conformance: Ensure a high standard of performance and conformance to Quality Management Systems.
  • Process Maintenance: Assist in maintaining processes that support the QA function for consistency.
  • Inventory Research: Perform basic inventory research activities within the Warehouse Management System.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement utilizing established quality processes.
  • Additional Quality and Compliance Activities: Support other quality and compliance-related activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college helpful. A minimum of 2-4 years of Quality Assurance experience in GMP or similarly regulated facilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Customer Service: Customer service driven.
  • Team Player: Strong team player.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
  • Policy Adherence: Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Reading and Writing: Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Ability to sit, walk, or stand for up to 10 hours per day. Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push, or pull.
  • Vision and Hearing: Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift or carry items less than 50 pounds.
