We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join the Lighting Fixtures Division team located in Woburn, MA.

Responsibilities
  • Lead purchasing, materials planning, and inventory management functions in the Light Fixtures Division.
  • Develop and maintain weekly and longer-range materials plans.
  • Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical drawings to determine material needs for production builds.
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials ahead of assembly builds.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and update inventory and procurement systems accordingly.
  • Manage all stockroom material movement and transactions.
  • Pick kits for the production team.
  • Pack out finished goods for shipment.
  • Communicate with vendors on delivery and quality requirements.
  • Assist in conducting inventory and materials cost analysis and tracking costs and profits.
  • Research and analyze supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), products, and identify potential cost savings and logistics issues.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments and suppliers to implement improvements.
  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams on BOMs and shop drawings.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Lead lower-level resources as needed.
Requirements and Skills
  • 5+ years of proven experience managing purchasing and material plans in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or engineering management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with BOM management software, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Demonstrated high sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a 'results-driven' attitude.
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks Enterprise.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and diligent follow-up.
