Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular unit. As a Senior Cardiovascular Care Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless transitions between departments and teams.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Performing procedures or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
  • Documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administering prescribed medications and monitoring response.
  • Maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also be responsible for:

  • Providing education and support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to quality initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment start date.
