Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee the Health Promotion and Planning (HPP) division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality public health programs and services.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the mission of the City of Canton and improve community health outcomes.
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to align efforts and achieve common goals.
- Provide leadership and management to a team of professionals, ensuring effective supervision, career development, and technical assistance.
- Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and grants to support HPP programming.
- Stay up-to-date with national, state, and local public health trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform decision-making and program development.
- Master's degree in public health, nursing, environmental health, public administration, epidemiology, statistics, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in public health, with increasing responsibility and leadership roles.
- Working knowledge of epidemiological principles and experience with accreditation best practices.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Proficiency in PC operation and use of email, Internet browsers, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
- A competitive salary of $72,894 per year.
