Job Summary:

Greenberg Traurig, a leading global law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team. As an HR Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Talent Services department, assisting with daily human resource tasks, including staff recruitment, employee benefits, event planning, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with staff recruitment by posting open positions, tracking job applicants, and sending resumes to Talent Services and Hiring Managers.
  • Schedule interview appointments and interface with candidates, sending standard communications to applicants regarding the status of their applications.
  • Manage the new hire process, including sending out new hire paperwork, initiating and monitoring background checks, and coordinating start dates with new hires.
  • Prepare welcome emails, assist with onboarding, and plan and conduct new employee orientations.
  • Administer employee benefits plans, including healthcare, life, disability, 401(k), and other health and welfare benefits programs, and assist employees with annual open enrollment.
  • Answer basic questions on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintain personnel files and I-9s, and be responsible for E-verify.
  • Coordinate firm events, such as staff appreciation, health and wellness clinics, annual holiday parties, and other special events as requested.
  • Assist with aspects of the annual performance review process for Associates and Business Staff, including sending out reminders and flagging comments for Talent Services Manager review.
  • Process employment verifications and transactions in HR systems, including employee changes and separations, and assist employees with the time and attendance system.
  • Assist with departing attorney processes.
  • Ensure administrative vacation coverage and overflow is provided.
  • Coordinate office attorney CLE training programs and process attorney bar association memberships.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including assisting with other GT offices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in a Human Resources support role.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred.
  • Possess a basic understanding of HR principles and practices, as well as employment law compliance.
  • Knowledge of HR-related programs/software, including Workday or other time/attendance or HRIS database systems, and Jobvite or other applicant tracking systems.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
