Job Purpose:
This role encompasses both leadership and technical responsibilities, aimed at guiding Site Facility Engineers and Construction Supervisors in their professional growth while overseeing the design, planning, supervision, and execution of all engineering projects with a strong emphasis on Personal & Process Safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
Foster technical proficiency, mentorship, and development for Site Facility Engineers (SFEs) and Construction Supervisors.
Set clear performance standards with team members and ensure SFEs prioritize tasks with Process Safety as a primary concern.
Collaborate with team members to create personalized development plans. Conduct regular coaching and mentoring sessions to assess performance and track progress on these plans.
Hold consistent one-on-one meetings to provide constructive feedback and ensure accountability to established expectations.
Demonstrate visible leadership at facilities, project sites, and job locations throughout project planning and execution phases.
Participate in daily facility and drill site meetings, as well as weekly safety discussions, contributing expertise related to process safety.
Engage in incident investigations, Process Hazard Analyses, and other process safety-related activities as necessary.
Work closely with Operations Managers and Facility Supervisors to achieve Asset Team objectives.
Be prepared to work with an alternate on a rotational basis, preferably a 7:7 schedule.

Technical
Establish and uphold minimum standards for engineering design packages, construction work packages, project plans, and contractor performance in accordance with Master Service Agreements, relevant safety regulations, and the Alaska Safety Handbook.
Provide technical support to SFEs and Construction Supervisors.Ensure adherence to the Management of Change (MOCs) process. Guarantee that modifications and enhancements integrate process safety into all design and implementation strategies.
Review and authorize MOCs as necessary.
Evaluate project proposals to determine technical quality and feasibility.
Assist SFEs and Construction Supervisors in all phases of project scoping, preliminary design, cost estimation, economic analysis, preparation of Requests for Proposals, bid package evaluations, and assessments of engineering and construction projects.
Support operations personnel in the assessment and optimization of existing equipment.Ensure compliance with Hilcorp policies and practices, as well as applicable codes, recommended practices, and all governmental regulations.
Provide expert guidance to SFEs on industry standards, codes, and relevant regulations.
Assist Operations Managers in maintaining safe and efficient operations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Comply with established work schedules, attendance standards, and punctuality for work and meetings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas facility engineering, with a preference for 15+ years.
At least 5 years of direct field experience in an oil and gas processing facility.
Strong leadership presence and capabilities.
Proven track record in mentoring and coaching.
Demonstrated knowledge across multiple surface engineering disciplines.
Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) facilities.
Advanced proficiency in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Hazard Analysis (HAZANs), MOCs, and incident investigations.
Ability to accurately solve problems and manage multiple diverse tasks with varying priorities.
Comprehensive understanding of equipment design, fabrication, and installation practices.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational abilities.
Familiarity with applicable codes and State and Federal regulations for oil and gas facilities, including knowledge of North Slope oil & gas operations.
Ability to effectively communicate with Hilcorp personnel and contractors.Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
Consideration of safety in all decision-making processes.
Possession of a valid Driver's License and a driving record free of violations to secure automobile insurance for employees.

Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited four-year university or college.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid State Driver's License.
