Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at VIE HIRE. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and a passion for innovative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing your expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit to create and modify engineering designs.
  • Coordinating effectively with various disciplines, including process, HVAC, mechanical, and equipment suppliers, to ensure project timelines and designs align.
  • Researching and specifying commercially available equipment that meets project specifications and technological advancements.
  • Designing electrical systems in compliance with relevant codes, focusing on power distribution, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Applying your knowledge of electrical power and SCADA systems, particularly in the context of water and wastewater management projects.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power and SCADA system design and implementation.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.
  • A current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • A strong interest in consulting within the engineering sector.
  • Experience in municipal water and wastewater sectors, with a solid understanding of electrical processes.
