Senior Customer Support Specialist
Job Summary:
This role requires advanced skills in blueprint interpretation and a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and installation. Experience with interior modifications on Legacy aircraft (GIV-G550) is essential. Candidates must demonstrate a focus on labor efficiency and overall project success, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. An FAA A&P license or the ability to secure a repairman certificate within 30 days of employment is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in production, manufacturing, or service center environments.
Position Purpose:
Serve as a technical authority on in-service aircraft, executing repairs and installations that demand a high level of precision and promptness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute technical tasks including proper methods for in-service installations, repairs, modifications, and refurbishments.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues on in-service aircraft to ascertain causes and implement preventative measures in collaboration with relevant parties to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Support problem-solving initiatives to refine planning methods for in-service aircraft refurbishments and installations, utilizing established techniques and criteria.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Support Engineering, and Quality Control to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.- Organize and oversee the Employee Skills Development Program in conjunction with the Training Department.
- Identify training needs for tooling, testing equipment, and other relevant areas.
- Plan, schedule, and execute tasks to align with service and delivery timelines.
- Assist management in supervising and instructing technicians on proper troubleshooting techniques for airframe inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of team members, leveraging strengths for optimal job performance while providing guidance for development in weaker areas.- Stay informed on industry standards, vendor information, and all relevant procedures and publications related to product support installations, repairs, and refurbishments.
- Aid in maintaining work schedules and updating CMP cards, ensuring compliance with company procedures and FAA Airworthiness Standards.- Support Lean initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks assigned to department technicians or leads during their absence, as needed.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including CMP cards, Travelers, and R&I logs.
- Follow all safety, 6S, and housekeeping protocols while utilizing personal protective equipment.
- Assist in training team members on proper techniques and procedures.
Other Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and repair station procedures, safety protocols, tooling, and quality standards is essential.
A proven track record in troubleshooting manufacturing or installation processes is required.
Proficiency in all relevant machinery and processes necessary for the role is expected. Basic computer skills are also necessary.
Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
