We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Courtyard Des Moines West/Clive. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with hotel systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
  • Supervisory experience not required.
