Position Overview:

We are in search of a detail-oriented and analytical Lead Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance & Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role will be pivotal in managing all financial processes related to inventory and the month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage collaboratively across departments to assess inventory levels and their impact on financial outcomes, acting as a key liaison with Operations to enhance process efficiency and report accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to our financial systems that affect inventory management, costing, and the month-end closing process.
  • Calculate and influence decisions regarding inventory reserves for surplus and outdated products.
  • Coordinate month-end closing activities with relevant departments that influence inventory and cost of goods sold (COGs).
  • Become the go-to expert on all aspects affecting inventory in financial reporting.
  • Conduct flux analysis on inventory levels and COGs margins to provide actionable insights.
  • Oversee all audit requests related to inventory levels and COGs.
  • Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for enhancements to drive operational efficiency.
  • Understand materiality and apply US GAAP Accounting principles when making or suggesting business decisions.
  • Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is essential, with a preference for a focus in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in physical inventory management, showcasing a solid understanding of general accounting principles and best practices; experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Adept at navigating a fast-paced, evolving environment; thrives in situations of uncertainty and adapts swiftly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the capability to manipulate data and extract meaningful insights (e.g., lookups, pivots, formulas, filters).
    • Experience with macro writing and familiarity with Oracle Fusion is a significant advantage.
  • A positive and energetic demeanor that fosters teamwork and builds strong professional relationships.

This role may involve various physical activities, including lifting, carrying, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
