Job Summary:The Wellness Specialist will provide clinical leadership support to our communities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care services. This role will involve supervising nursing department staff, implementing resident clinical services, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership support to communities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care services.
- Supervise nursing department staff, including interviewing, hiring, and training team members.
- Implement resident clinical services, including medication management and charting.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations governing Assisted Living.
- Provide timely and honest communication with families, promoting good relationships and keeping them informed about resident conditions and community events.
- Participate in tours and discussions with potential residents and their families about clinical needs.
- Assess potential residents to determine their eligibility for Assisted Living.
- Create positive team member relations through staff appreciation programs and recognition of excellent performance.
- Provide on-call backup to communities when not on duty.
- Current RN licensure with a minimum of 1 year of experience in senior housing and/or geriatric nursing.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Director of Nursing or Wellness Director with a demonstrated success in leading nursing teams to meet successful resident outcomes.
- Ability to travel to various communities within the assigned market.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak the English language and communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
