Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Newborn Nursery

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Belmont, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery, scheduled to open late 2024.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested, and stabilizing, managing, and facilitating transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for those requiring higher-level care. The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs, with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Gastonia, just 7 miles away.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to newborns in the LDRP Level-I Nursery
  • Attend deliveries and provide post-delivery care
  • Stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs as needed
  • Collaborate with the neonatology team to provide comprehensive care to newborns
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master's degree
