We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Belmont, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery.
About the PositionThis Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year, with an average daily census of about 5 newborns. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested, and will take call from home. Practitioners will also stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher-level care.
About the TeamThe Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs, with the sister Level III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Gastonia, which is only 7 miles away. Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the Level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible, but would not be required, as this position is for the Level 1 nursery.
