Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist

Guidewire, Inc is a Non-Profit Human Service Agency dedicated to providing essential residential and day support services to adults with developmental disabilities across Hampden & Berkshire counties. We are currently in search of a meticulous Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist to enhance our Finance team. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical and communication abilities, along with a strong capacity to organize and prioritize tasks effectively. This position is full-time, in-office, non-exempt, and reports directly to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process attendance records for monthly billing, which involves various funding sources and billing methods. Maintain effective communication with counterparts at funding sources.
- Organize and manage contract files and associated documentation.
- Oversee and reconcile all cash receipts, ensuring alignment between the A/R Module and billing.
- Manage DTA food stamp eligibility and process monthly EBT funding transfers with accurate accounting.
- Maintain records and adhere to accounting protocols for Non-Representative Payee funds.
- Engage with guardians and representative payees regarding monthly care charges and reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance with Funds Management Plans.
- Prepare bank transfer advices for the Finance Director.
- Reconcile the Organizational Representative Payee Bank Account.
- Reconcile Asset and Liability General Ledger accounts.
- Support and coordinate general accounting tasks within the Finance Department.
- Assist in reconciling credit card transactions within our Expense Management Module.
- Contribute to the annual financial audit process.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
