We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Painter and Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Kansas City Chiefs. As a key member of our Stadium Operations department, you will be responsible for maintaining the painting needs of our facilities, including the University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex, Arrowhead Stadium, and outside areas of the Truman Sports Complex.
Key Responsibilities:- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and paint mixing areas.
- Equipment Operation: Operates compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment, and other small power equipment.
- Construction and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Operates heavy lift equipment, including scissors and boom swing stages, to heights of 80 feet.
- Scaffolding and Rigging: Erects various types of scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks to reach surfaces of work areas for painters and others.
- Painting and Coatings: Applies paints, stains, surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials to various surfaces, ensuring compliance with hazardous materials guidelines.
- Color Selection: Determines appropriate colors for new or replacement applications through consultation with customers.
- Line Striping: Prepares and implements line striping for streets and parking lots.
- Hazardous Materials Handling: Identifies, safely handles, and disposes of paints, stains, preparatory materials, undercoating materials, and hazardous materials.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.

- Painting and Coatings: Skill in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces.
- Physical Demands: Walks and stands for extended periods, climbs, bends forward, kneels down, pushes and pulls objects, lifts and/or moves up to 25 lbs., and completes work off ladders.
- Attendance and Punctuality: Reports to work each day and on time, and works extra hours when needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Complies with proper safety policies and procedures, including the use of cleaning chemicals and reporting incidents.
- Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Quality of Work: Determines the neatness, accuracy, and thoroughness of work assigned.
- Travel and Background Check: May be required to travel for business and must undergo and pass a background check.
