- Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a professional and friendly manner.
- Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area, stockroom, and other areas as assigned.
- Assist customers with bulk products, answer questions about products, and provide recommendations as needed.
- Process sales transactions, handle returns and exchanges, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements and Conditions:
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts accurately, including discounts, gross margins, and percentages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Pass a standard drug test and qualify as being drug-free under the legal and medical guidelines permitted by the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
