POSITION SUMMARY
We are in search of a committed and knowledgeable Clinical Supervisor to enhance our team.

In the capacity of Clinical Supervisor, you will oversee our Substance Use Treatment and Field-Based Services program, ensuring exceptional care for individuals facing substance use challenges.

Your responsibilities will include providing clinical oversight to a team of substance use counselors, case managers, and outreach personnel.

You will work in collaboration with various agency departments to guarantee the smooth integration of services for clients. Furthermore, you will be tasked with developing and executing treatment plans grounded in evidence-based methodologies. Monitoring program results and implementing necessary modifications to enhance client outcomes will be a fundamental aspect of your role.

Engagement in agency-wide quality improvement initiatives and offering crisis intervention and support as required are also integral to this dynamic position.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and communication abilities, a solid understanding of trauma-informed care and harm reduction strategies, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary Range: $45 - $67.50 / Hour DOE

CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Conducting assessments of patients upon admission and re-assessments as necessary
  • Performing mental status examinations
  • Providing accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on patient history, signs, and symptoms
  • Maintaining proper documentation in the medical record of services provided
  • Offering individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed
  • Delivering crisis intervention services, including 5150 determinations
  • Creating treatment plans
  • Participating in medical record reviews
  • Engaging in utilization review activities as required

Possessing knowledge of current legal standards related to professional practice, reporting obligations (e.g., suspected abuse; Tarasoff), professional boundaries, and associated issues is essential.

Supervision/Training Responsibilities:
  • Providing supervision to counseling staff as deemed appropriate, including interns
  • Conducting performance evaluations of interns or staff as required
  • Delivering in-service training to staff and/or trainees on substance use disorder and mental health topics as needed
Administrative Duties:
  • Attending clinical and administrative committee meetings as requested
  • Maintaining necessary documentation of clinical supervision
  • Participating in community events, presentations, meetings, and outreach on behalf of the organization
  • Performing additional functions as specifically requested by the Clinical Director, Program Director, and/or Senior Supervisor
EDUCATION:
A Master's or Doctorate degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or social science.
Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Science as an LCSW or MFT.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in evaluating and/or treating individuals with substance use issues and/or dual diagnosis is required.

Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
