KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Overview:

The Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service by ensuring that all kitchen and refrigeration equipment is well-maintained. This position involves performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to uphold our operational standards.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Repairs and Upgrades on Kitchen Equipment
  • Identify and resolve issues with existing equipment, utilizing troubleshooting techniques, replacing parts, and performing tests to confirm proper functionality. Upgrade systems to comply with new regulations or standards.
  • Maintain Current Kitchen Equipment
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks, following a detailed checklist to inspect components such as compressors, electrical connections, and motors.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests, including after-hours calls.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in kitchen equipment maintenance or appliance repair
  • Essential Skills:
  1. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Effective communication and basic computer skills are also required.
  2. Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment operations.
  3. Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and defects.
  4. Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  5. Understanding of electrical and plumbing principles.
  6. Experience with tools and testing equipment for kitchen maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Capability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
  2. Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized equipment, and in environments with potential hazards.
  3. Comfortable working on ladders.
