The Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri – Columbia is seeking a full-time Cognitive and Behavioral Neurologist to join our vibrant and growing Neurology practice.
About the RoleAs a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with two additional Behavioral Neurologists, both with leadership roles in the institution, to expand our clinical offerings and research opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in clinical and some didactic teaching, and have the opportunity to precept in resident clinic.
- Contribute to the department's growth, education of medical students and residents, and pursuit of other academic/research interests.
- Collaborate with Health Psychology for psychometric testing.
- Utilize state-of-the-art imaging capabilities, including PET and 7T MRI.
- Enjoy a practice schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no night call.
- Be eligible for all ranks, commensurate with experience.
As the largest Neurologic Care Team in mid-Missouri, our department's facilities include:
- A dedicated 28-bed Neurosciences Center with 6 bed EMU.
- 30-bed Neurosciences ICU.
- AANEM Lab Accreditation with Exemplary Status.
- NAEC Level IV Epilepsy program.
- DNV-Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Certified MDA/ALS clinics.
- An accredited Sleep Program.
- Outpatient infusion center.
We offer a neurology residency program and six ACGME-accredited fellowship programs:
- Clinical Neurophysiology.
- Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology (dual UCNS certification).
- Sleep Medicine.
- Advanced Sleep Medicine.
- Vascular Neurology.
- Neuro Critical Care (dual UCNS certification).
