About the Job
MU Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Specialist to join our team in Columbia, MO. As a key member of our Electroencephalogram and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Explain test procedures to patients and provide psychological support to ensure quality test results.
- Perform scoring and long-term monitoring review, collaborating with physicians to inform their interpretation of test results.
- Adapt test methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal patient results, recognizing medically emergent situations and taking appropriate actions.
- Complete necessary documentation and billing, performing limited office, secretarial, and transport duties.
- Mentor Neurodiagnostic Technicians and Technologists, assisting leadership with new hire onboarding and training.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of neurodiagnostic experience.
- Registration in two (2) of the following: Electroencephalographic (R.EEG T.), Evoked Potential (R. EPT.), or Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) certification, or Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET); or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists (BRPT); or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) by the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technicians (AAET); or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
