Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, and end-users
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through account penetration, analysis, and strategic initiatives
  • Drive product specifications and project opportunities throughout assigned territory
  • Leverage industry knowledge and key relationships to develop trusted partnerships with customers
  • Prepare and deliver strategic business plans for each customer, including monthly forecasts
  • Consistently follow the standard sales process to identify prospects, gain customer commitment, and close deals
  • Manage day-to-day contact with customers, exchange information, and address issues directly and tactfully
  • Develop and deliver technical, high-quality digital collateral, product prospectus, presentations, and business correspondence
  • Collaborate with senior staff to coordinate and execute product knowledge training sessions with internal and external customers
  • Leverage technology for productivity and effective lead generation, account maintenance, sales and expense tracking, forecasting, account reviews, customer contact, presentations, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with internal support resources to develop teamwork through cooperation, trust, and mutual respect
  • Attend and present business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows
  • Maintain extensive product knowledge in all product lines and service offerings
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies, pricing, and operational procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management, or related field
  • 2-3 years of construction or industry experience, or 5 years of experience with a minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Four to ten years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience
  • Construction knowledge, including waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, and assembly line related product segments
  • Basic knowledge of product chemistries
  • Insulated Concrete Forms knowledge/experience a plus

  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or other CRM software experience

  • Ability to retain knowledge and training
  • Proven ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and diffuse conflict

Benefits and Compensation

Tremco offers a competitive salary range for this position, starting at $85K and going up based on experience. We also offer a variety of benefits, including health insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, Company Pension Plan, Performance Based Bonus/Commission, and continuing education.
