Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment
  2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including dishwashing station, sinks, and storage areas
  3. Support kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during peak service times
  4. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, to ensure a clean and safe working environment
  5. Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of dishes to customers

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume dishwashing efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting, moving, and carrying of kitchen ware, cleaning equipment, food boxes, and garbage weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Regular and prolonged standing and walking
  • Occasional ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to move food items, equipment, etc.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
  • Constant bending, stooping, and turning to place dishes in machine, etc.
  • Constant exposure to hot and damp temperature fluctuations
