Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Sort and organize dishes, utensils, and equipment to ensure they are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment using detergents, sanitizers, and hot water.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and equipment.
  • Assist kitchen staff as needed, including food prep and plating dishes during busy times.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing protective gear and ensuring all dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role, such as dishwashing or food service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy objects, including plate ware and cleaning equipment.
  • Regular and prolonged standing and walking to wash dishes, move garbage, etc.
  • Occasional ascending/descending stairs to deliver food, pick up dirty dishware, etc.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting, moving, and carrying of plate ware, cleaning equipment, and garbage weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular and prolonged standing and walking to wash dishes, move garbage, etc.
  • Occasional ascending/descending stairs to deliver food, pick up dirty dishware, etc.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.
  • Constant bending, stooping, and turning to place dishes in machine, etc.
  • Constant exposure to hot and damp temperature fluctuations.
