Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer with expertise in Hydrology and Hydraulics analysis and design to join our Civil/Site team at Colliers Engineering & Design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive Hydrologic and Hydraulic calculations, exhibits, and reports for civil infrastructure improvements.
  • Collect and analyze data, perform computer modeling, and design complex detention/retention systems meeting local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate and mitigate the impact of proposed designs on surrounding areas.
  • Process CLOMR/LOMR applications through local municipalities and FEMA.
  • Monitor project costs and changes against budget.
  • Review and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Lead and review the work of subordinate employees.
Requirements
  • 3-7 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Understanding of private development process and concepts for residential and commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D stormwater management software.
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS.
  • 2-dimensional Hydraulic experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk InfraWorks required.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS required.
  • Texas PE license required.
  • Texas Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.
