Role Details:
Position Title: Blood Cancer Unit Registered Nurse
Position Type: Full-Time
Shift: Nights (Rotating Weekends) - 3/12 - 6:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.


Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience, along with various differentials.


Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of acute nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Required oncology experience in an acute care setting, cancer center, or medical facility
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License (Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within the first year of employment
- Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Provider card to be obtained within the first 6 months of employment
- Preferred certifications: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or Blood & Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN)


Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse in the Blood Cancer Unit, you will provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing blood and marrow transplants, as well as those with hematologic and oncologic conditions. You will also manage patients experiencing oncological emergencies and others who meet the admission criteria.


Common diagnoses include acute leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. In this acute care setting, you will be responsible for a maximum of 4 patients, ensuring high-quality care and support.
