Vaco is collaborating with a renowned medical device organization that boasts impressive revenue figures and is experiencing significant growth. As part of their expansion strategy, the company is looking to appoint its inaugural Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Executive to integrate into their executive team. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The organization offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $240,000 to $260,000, along with a 25% performance bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Financial Planning & Analysis team, working closely with critical stakeholders to develop budgets, forecasts, and manage overall business performance.
- Direct the annual budgeting process, monitor and report on performance against established plans, and manage continuous rolling forecast updates.
- Consolidate financial results and segment-level outcomes.
- Coordinate and prepare regional and territory business updates, focusing on profitability and key performance indicators.
- Examine sales data, providing insights and reporting on key performance indicators to management and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop financial dashboards that allow for comparisons and insights at both summary and detailed levels for various internal audiences, regions, and product lines | PowerBI
- Lead strategic financial planning initiatives, crafting long-term plans and assessing strategic projects in collaboration with operational leaders.
- Enhance the efficiency of internal financial reporting processes, acting as a thought leader to elevate reporting standards through ongoing process improvements.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to inform business strategies, enhance operational efficiency, and maximize return on investment.
- Prepare presentations for monthly and quarterly Board meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field | MBA or CPA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience with substantial exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis within a manufacturing environment (mandatory). A minimum of 7-10 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven expertise in data mining, analysis, and modeling, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of financial modeling within a manufacturing context.
- Strong familiarity with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate comprehensive financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Solid understanding of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting processes, including rolling budgets.
- Strong executive presence, capable of presenting at quarterly board meetings and earnings calls.
- Experience in a Fortune 1000 company is highly desirable | prior experience overseeing comprehensive FP&A functions, not limited to a single division.
- Familiarity with PowerBI or similar data analytic reporting tools is highly advantageous.
