Job Summary:
Harnham is seeking a highly skilled Lead Bioinformatics Scientist to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a key member of our computational team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our digital assay development pipeline. If you have a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, and experience with assay design, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of our digital assay design pipeline: Expand our existing Python code base and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new assays.
- Analyze PCR-focused datasets: Use your expertise to analyze and interpret complex datasets to inform product development efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with colleagues from various departments to ensure seamless integration of assay design projects.
Requirements:
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field: A strong academic background in bioinformatics or computational biology is essential.
- Expertise in computational work around assay design: Proven experience in assay design and development is required.
- Extensive Python and SQL experience: Strong programming skills in Python and SQL are necessary for this role.
- Past work with digital assays highly desirable: Experience working with digital assays is a plus.
- Design control process experience highly desirable: Familiarity with design control processes is a bonus.
