Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join our client's team in the San Diego metropolitan area. As a key member of the biological data science team, you will be responsible for developing machine learning models and software, analyzing biological datasets, and collaborating with project teams to drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine learning models and software to analyze complex biological data
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights, and recommend data-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science into business decision-making
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and tools to support data analysis and visualization

Requirements

  • PhD in a mathematical or computational field, such as bioinformatics, computer science, or statistics
  • Proven experience in applying machine learning to biological data in an industry setting
  • Strong programming skills in Python and associated machine learning libraries
  • Experience with Bayesian modeling and RNASeq analysis is highly desirable
